I' ll say this is the first country we entered because Russia was a run through project..

Early in the Sunday morning of 24th September 2006, we arrived in the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator.
This country is very big, but even though, here's only 2,5 million people living here.. That's only half of all Finnish people.. And I always though that Finland had few habitants.
Here in the capital lives about 1,000,000 people, so it's actually very crowded. This town reminds me somehow of Helsinki..
Well after getting off the train we managed to hook ourselves with this cheap guesthouse near the center on the town.. Only 3$ per night for a three person dorm. And it surprisingly appeared to be real cozy.. First things first.. We get there, I take off my backpacks and head straight for the shower.. Hard to describe the sensation of well being while taking a hot shower. Yes, it had been six, no seven days since I last went to take a shower.. It's the small things in life that make you happy =)
Also the first local meal we got to eat was pancakes.. Excellent breakfast!

Here's a look out of our dorm's window

After we all showered and ate, we headed straight into town to see what it's like. The morning seemed quite peaceful with little sun shining through the clouds. The people here look a lot like the Chinese from their faces, except that they are normally tall like Europeans and they also dress like us..
They seem friendly and they even speak some English.
First we headed to this huge shopping center, it was full of electronics and other stuff that wealthy people would buy.. We decided to remain cheapskates and headed out.. Then hunger got to us and we soothed out to some food and we found this pizza place where we went.. The pizza was pretty good and we laughed to ourselves for taking a pizza as first meal..
After we went to get a beer, and after it was the time for a nap..
We woke up in the evening and decided to search out for an internet cafe (at which we are at this moment).
After a long surf over the web, we went out to some more beer.. (Don't think that that's all we do here..)
And we found this Mongolian restaurant to which we settled, there was some band playing music which sounded good.
We were little bit confused since we took the nap, it felt like it would have been already the second day that we are here, but it wasn't!
We enjoyed ourselves and our first evening here as you can judge by the looks..

At midnight the restaurant closed, we headed straight across the road to this The Unique club.
At the counter, the boys were little slow to decide and, after seeing a tomato juice pack, I ordered us a bottle of local vodka and started mixing drinks.. This leaded to a drunken state..
At one o'clock the club closed and we headed back to our dorm.. Almost instantenously after getting inside, we fell asleep..

The first day here really seemed to last two days.. which of course is nice since we didn't have to pay for the 'second' day =)
